Nobody gets to tell your story but you.

Not the system. Not the institution. Not the people who never lived a day in your shoes. Our Narratives is a workshop program built on one unshakeable truth: every single person in the room has something worth saying — and the world is better when they say it out loud.

This isn't a therapy session. This isn't a classroom. This is a creative space where real talk meets real art, and where the people who've been through the most come out with the most powerful stories of all.

Together, Terrell & Heidi bring complementary worlds — visual art and performance, rural and urban experience, structure and spontaneity — into a single, cohesive space where participants feel both challenged and safe.

Terrell X'avion and Heidi Jeub bring two very different backgrounds — Terrell's roots in Chicago and Twin Cities hip-hop and beatbox performance, Heidi's in rural Minnesota visual art — together as co-facilitators of Our Narratives.

Their contrasting styles, urban and rural, performance and visual art, spontaneous and structured, have shaped a workshop practice built on genuine experience across an unusually wide range of communities: schools, recovery programs, correctional facilities, and community and arts organizations alike.

What unites them isn't a shared background — it's a shared belief that every person's story is worth the space to tell it.

  • Terrell X'avion and visual artist Heidi Jeub bring their worlds together — Hip Hop, beatbox, performance, visual art, writing, and storytelling — and build a space where participants go from silent to seen.

    Through writing, freestyle, visual art, and performance, Our Narratives workshops pull the story out of you. The one you've been sitting on. The one nobody asked for. The one that might change someone's life if you just had the space to say it.

    We've done this work in schools, community centers, recovery programs, correctional facilities, and on stages. Wherever people show up, we come prepared to engage them.

  • The student who's been told they don't fit the mold — you were never the problem. The mold was.

    The person in recovery who's been through hell and back and has a story that could save someone else's life.

    The incarcerated or formerly incarcerated who know more about resilience, consequence, and humanity than most people will ever understand.

    The artist who's lost the fire — who's been creating for the crowd and forgot what it felt like to create for themselves.

    The organization that's done talking about serving their community and is ready to actually invest in them.

    *This program can be customized to fit groups ranging from Middle School to Adult.

  • We're living in a moment where the noise is loud, the division is real, and too many people feel like their voice doesn't matter. Artists have always been the ones who cut through that — who told the truth when nobody else would, who made people feel less alone, who turned pain into something that lasts.

    Our Narratives puts that power back in the hands of the people who need it the most.
